Here's my most frequent and favorite question to be asked: “My kid/niece/nephew/friend’s kid is [whatever age], what book should I get as a gift?”

Not to worry.  I am all over this.  Here’s a round-up of some of my favorite books to gift, starting with new baby presents and moving on up through the ranks to high school graduation.  Click on the covers for more info.

(P.S. Most of the books listed here were published in the last few years.  I trust you can find your own way to Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter and other powerhouse formative necessities.)

#GiveABook is a social media campaign that I loved from Penguin Random House designed to promote books as gifts.  In December of 2014, they paired it with a donation campaign – for every use of the hashtag on Facebook and Twitter before December 25, Penguin Random House donated a book to Save The Children, an international non-profit that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.  In the end, 35,000 books were donated.  In 2015, 50,000 books were donated.
